Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!

In school this week we have learnt about the traditions of St Patrick’s Day.

Quick facts

It is celebrated, on 17th March.The real Saint Patrick was born in Britain.People dress up as leprechauns everywhere .The biggest celebrations take place in U.S.A.
The three bits on the Shamrock represent the Father, the Son and the Holy spirit.Saint Patrick used the Shamrock to teach the story of God.Saint Patrick was a slave and escaped and returned to his family.People wear lots of green clothing and there are lots of parades.
Chicago dyed their river green in order of Saint Patricks Day.Leprechauns are likely based on Celtic Fairies.The first Saint Patrick’s day parade went down in America.Corned Beef and Cabbage was not made in Ireland – it originates from USA .
